PI Dr. Yesilbas and co-PI Prof. Agneta Andersson (Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences and Umeå Marine Sciences Center) was awarded with the Kempestiftelsen Grant to hire a fully-funded postdoctoral fellow for 2 years.

In this new project, we will join our forces to reveal which environmental conditions allow to preserve cyanobacteria in Mars analogue clay minerals: Insights into the origins of life on Early Earth and the search for life on Mars.

Looking forward to collaboration in this exciting project! Many thanks for this opportunity to the Kempestiftelsen and Alice Kempe!
