Yeşilbaş Lab at the Swedish Space Researchers' (SRS) 2026 Meeting!

We are proud to share that the Yeşilbaş Lab was well represented at the Swedish Space Researchers' (SRS) meeting in Stockholm, 25-26 March, contributing across both the talk and poster sessions in the astrobiology track!

Our Kempe postdoc Alef dos Santos was honored with an invited talk in the astrobiology section, which is a lovely recognition of his research!! Big congratulations to Alef for this recognition!👏 Although Alef was unable to travel this time for family reasons, PI Merve stepped in to present his work on his behalf, so that his science reached the audience it deserved.

The lab's presence did not stop there. Student assistant Frida and PI Merve co-presented two posters, of which one highlighting Frida's, Alef’s and Zoi’s work, and one showcasing the research of our Carl-Trygger postdoc Surendra. From invited talk to poster boards, it was a real team effort spanning chemistry, biology, and planetary science.

Meetings like SRS are exactly where our interdisciplinary approach comes to life. We are very happy to share our search for water, biosignatures, and life beyond Earth with the wider Swedish space community, and coming home with new ideas and connections. A huge thank you to the SRS organizers, and to the whole team for making sure every strand of our science was on display. 🚀👩🏻‍🚀☄️

Per aspera ad astra Yeşilbaş Lab!!!
