We are welcoming to our new PhD student, Zoe Asimaki!

We are thrilled to welcoming Zoe!

We are excited to welcome Zoe Asimaki to the Yeşilbaş Lab as a new PhD student!

Zoe holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Stirling and has completed her MSc in Planetary Sciences at the University of Aberdeen, where she focused on aqueous alteration processes and the preservation of biogenic carbon on Mars analog samples. She brings strong expertise in Raman spectroscopy, geochemical data analysis, and planetary surface processes.

Beyond her academic achievements, Zoe has extensive science communication experience, including speaking at TEDx University of Stirling and working with outreach programs like the Edinburgh Science Festival and the Glasgow Science Centre.

We are thrilled to have Zoe in our team and look forward to the exciting research and fresh perspectives she will bring to the lab!

This PhD project is supported by the Swedish Research Council (VR-2021-05859) and Department of Chemistry at Umeå University that awarded to our PI Dr. Yesilbas.
